Hire Agreement

It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that all possible steps are taken to avoid injury or damage to the inflatable. Please ensure that the following safety instructions are followed:

  1. This unit has an age limit of __ years and a maximum number of __ users at one time. The hirer is to ensure no one over this age and maximum number limit uses this inflatable.
  2. No food or drinks to be consumed on the inflatable. (to avoid choking & slip hazzards).
  3. All shoes, badges, jewelry, (i.e. large earrings, necklaces etc.) MUST be removed. It is recommended that spectacles are also removed.
  4. No face-paints, party-poppers, coloured streamers or "silly string" to be used near or on the inflatable, as they can cause slippages and permanently stain the unit.
  5. No smoking near the inflatable.
  6. Climbing, hanging, or sitting on the walls is dangerous and must not be allowed.
  7. A responsible adult must supervise everyone using the inflatable at all times.
  8. Never inflate or deflate the inflatable with children still on it.
  9. Ensure that the inflatable is not overcrowded, and limit the numbers depending on age and size of children using it. If the children are colliding into each other then it is too crowded.
  10. Avoid large children and small children from using the inflatable at the same time. All children require supervision.
  11. If the inflatable is not being used for any part of the day, please switch the blower off at the mains, this will reduce your electric bill!
  12. Do not allow anyone to bounce on the step/front apron. The step is there to help users get on and off.
  13. Ensure that no-one with a history of back or neck problems are allowed on the inflatable.
  14. Do not allow users to be on the unit during inflation or deflation.
  15. In the event of heavy rain, it is strongly recommended that the inflatable be switched off. Any wetness, including bubbling can be dried with a towel. A small picnic table placed over the blower will help prevent rainwater being sucked into the blower, and then into the inflatable.
  16. The blower is fitted with a safety RCD plug. It is only to be switched on and off at the mains supply using the RCD plug. Never use the (blue) water proof plug at the blower to switch it on or off. Ensure that the vent on the side of the blower is kept clear at all times.
  17. The castle is not to be used when wind or gusts are in excess of Force 5 on the Beaufort scale (19-24 mph). Force 5 is a fresh breeze when small trees in leaf begin to sway, wheras Force 6 is a strong breeze where large branches are in motion, whistling can be heard in telephone lines and umbrellas can only be handled with difficulty. Weather forecasts can be obtained from the Meteorological Office or by following the links on our web site. It is the responsibility of the undersigned to assess the windspeed during castle operation and stop it's use when the windspeed or gusts are in excess of 19-24 mph or when they deem it to be unsafe to use.
  18. Never allow children to summersault or partake in dangerous, rough play.
  19. If you cancel on the morning of the hire for any other reason than bad weather you will be liable for 50% of the total cost of the hire.
  20. Moray Bouncy Castles reserve the right to cancel any hire due to bad weather conditions or factors beyond our control.
